CINNAMON DOUGH ORNAMENTS RECIPE
4 oz cinnamon
1 Tbsp ground cloves
1 Tbsp ground nutmeg
1/2 c applesauce
1 Tbsp white glue
In a heavy-duty plastic bag, mix the ingredients listed. Let your child knead the dough in the plastic bag until the mixture is smooth. Roll out mixture to a 1/2-inch thickness and cut into shapes with the cookie cutters. Use a drinking straw to punch a hole in each ornament. Dry on wax paper for several days, turning each piece over every day until both sides are dry.
Run a ribbon or yarn through the hole. The ornaments are ready to hang! (Remind your child that these ornaments are not edible!)
