Something that REALLY helps little kids get excited about learning, is building that ego.
I like getting SOME of my school books from Dollar tree. They have little learning books that go over math, reading, writing and other basics. (and hey, they are only a dollar!!)
The books are not very big which is awesome because then my kids complete it within a few weeks and they feel REALLY proud of themselves for "finishing a whole book!!"
After they complete one book, they want to go get another one. It just keeps that excitement going. (And let me tell you, keeping them excited about learning, makes YOUR job a whole lot easier!)
