Off the Internet and into the World

Last Sunday we had a wonderful lesson in our church given by our Bishop. His lesson was based off of a talk given HERE

It is pretty long but I HIGHLY recommend finding the time to read it.
It has helped me to understand that one of the biggest things I need to do more of this summer is to TURN OFF THE COMPUTER and spend even more time with my kids.

The computer is such a wonderful thing, but it can also be a dark hole that consumes much too much of our time………time that we need to be spending with our children or even doing things to improve ourselves as mothers.

Our children watch us more then we think. I want my kids to see me learning, exercising, reading and being productive in my spare time.
I also want my kids to know that spending time with them is FAR more important than anything I could be doing on the computer.

So this summer, make sure you spend that quality time with your kids. Give them the attention they desperately seek from you.

Turn off the computer and get out and have fun!!

I've been thinking about this topic a lot lately and was grateful to see articles about it in this month's Ensign magazine. What I am struggling with is limiting time. Sometimes this is all of the socializing I'll get in a day and it's hard to limit. Did your bishop give any tactics to help limit your time?
