For the past couple of years, I have tried to do a “12 day of Thanksgiving” list on our family blog. I will continue to do that this year, but I also wanted the kids to learn to have a grateful heart.
So I had the two older kids help me out and we created our “Thanksgiving Trees.”
First we made the trees out of long rolls of paper. (found at your local wal-mart)
Then we cut out leaves from construction paper.
We hung the trees up in the school room. Don't they look great?!
Each day the kids will write on a leaf one thing they are grateful for.
We will then glue the leaf to a branch on our “Thanksgiving Tree.”
The kids are really excited about this idea and we have already put a couple of little leaves on our trees.

I've been contemplating doing the same thing with my kids, but didn't think to use bigger paper! Love it!
I love this idea! I'm going to use it with my little 3-kid preschool I'm teaching this week. :)
