Baby its cold outside.....

I love this time of year with all of the decorations, presents, lights and snow, but we live in an area where winter seems to last a lifetime. (And it has only just begun)

Now that I have a newborn, getting out of the house is not as easy as it used to be. This is cold and flu season and the last thing I want is five sick children………….and especially a sick newborn.

So my goal this winter is to find fun things for the kids to do so they don’t get cabin fever.

One day I could tell the kids needed something new to do, so I told them to gather up all of the socks they could find in their sock drawer.
We rolled the socks into little balls and then divided them up. The kids each built little forts out of couch cushions and pillows. And then we had an indoor “snowball fight.”

It was awesome!!
The family room was a total mess, but it was awesome!

So if your kids need something fun to do when it is cold outside, and you can handle the mess, you might want to give an indoor snowball fight a try. :)
